The Peoples Want manifesto

The Peoples Want manifesto brings together the experiences and analyses that we have drawn from the last two decades of struggle and from our exchanges at the first four internationalist gatherings we've organised. It sets out our vision of internationalism from below. It draws on lessons learnt by insurgents in various contexts. It sets out our shared understanding of the current situation and our initial working hypotheses to strengthen our actions and initiatives for the future.

Writing the manifesto was a collective effort. An editorial team guided the process and worked on the first draft. It was then shared with members of TPW community who provided rich and valuable input based on their own experiences. Physical group meetings were also held to discuss early drafts of the text in Santiago, Buenos Aires, Beirut and Lyon. The text was finalised in October 2024.

The text is available to download on our website in English, French, Arabic and Spanish and is currently being translated into further languages. Zones will publish the French version and the book will be available in libraries in France, Belgium and Switzerland on the 27th of March and a few weeks later in Quebec as well. If you are in France, join us that Thursday in Montreuil for the book launching starting from 6 pm at the Parole Errante Demain.

The English version will be published by Haymarket in 2026. The Arabic and Spanish versions are already circulating around Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Multiple discussions and reading groups around the text have already taken place from Ecuador to the UK. Don’t hesitate to organise a reading in your community! If any libraries, collectives or social centres would like to receive some copies, or host a discussion with members involved in the writing process, please get in contact with us.
